Improving your English skills can make a big difference in your academic confidence. Our Learning Support team offers tailored help to build tools and strategies for success.

We support you with:

  • Learning strategies: Plan, monitor, and reflect on your communication
  • Vocabulary building and fluency in academic English
  • Speaking practice in classes, discussions, and presentations
  • Reading and writing strategies: paraphrasing, note-taking, critical reading

We offer a range of support services for students with health or mental health conditions that impact their studies.

If disability, health or mental health affects your studies and participation in university life, our Student & Academic Services team can support you.

We aim to remove educational barriers by offering tailored support, including accessible forms of study materials, flexibility with submission dates and exam adjustments. The support offered may be temporary, on-going or permanent.

We offer:

Throughout your studies, you will encounter a range of assignments, each with its own structure, expectations, and academic conventions. Our Learning Advisers are here to help you navigate your assessment with confidence.

They can:

  • Offer strategies to improve your writing and grammar
  • Suggest helpful resources to support your language development
  • Provide tips for understanding and planning your assignments
  • Assist with referencing and using academic sources effectively

Whether you are aiming to improve your grades or just need help getting started, we are here to guide you.

Faculty / Teacher consultation

In addition to small, interactive classroom sessions, all University teaching staff are available for face-to-face student consultation on campus each week. If you are looking to build greater understanding of a particular module during your studies, you are encouraged to join a consultation individually, or as a group.

If you feel dissatisfied with any aspect of your studies or experience, you have the right to raise a complaint.

Steps include:

Student Cause for Concern Form or visit our Student Services to tell us why you are concerned about a student. We can help them get the right support

Your safety is our priority. If you feel unable to keep yourself safe, please phone 110 for emergency help.

If you are on campus, call 110 for the emergency services. Afterwards, please call +62 811-2024-0447 for Security Reception to let them know (this is to ensure they can direct the emergency services appropriately on arrival). If you are unable to use a phone, speak to Student Services at Student Connect.

If you’ve witnessed or experienced behaviour or communication from someone that has caused you fear, offence or distress, you can contact Student Services for help, advice or to make a report.

We’re happy to talk to staff, students and visitors and we evaluate all incidents and communication.
