Assoc. Professor Maria Jacinta Arquisola is an Associate Professor in the School of Business, Deakin Lancaster Indonesia. With more than 30 years of academic and professional industry experience, Dr Arquisola has worked in the Philippines, Indonesia, and New Zealand. She is a recipient of the prestigious Endeavour Awards for Higher Degree by Research by the Australian Government and the New Zealand Development Award for post-graduate studies.
Dr Arquisola spent 19 years as an academic in one of Indonesia’s private universities, and had completed stints as Vice Rector for Resources, and Dean of the Faculty of Business for 5 years. She helped develop and guided the growth of the university’s various flagship programs, such as the Internship and Career Centre, and its training arm, the Professional Development Centre. Throughout her academic journey, she was a key player in achieving “A” accreditation for various study programs in the business school, as well as international recognition for the university. She represented Indonesia at the DIES Conference on Higher Education Management in Bonn, Germany, in 2017, where her paper was selected as one of the top 20 best papers in the world.
Her approach to teaching is supportive, nurturing, and caring, as well as enhancing students’ confidence in their abilities and skills.
In the Philippines, Dr Arquisola served as a Senior Project Development Manager for various bilateral aid programs for UN – ILO, CIDA, USAID and other international NGOs handling programs in the Philippines’ southern areas. In Indonesia, she worked in the telecoms industry for close to 7 years, helping build one of Indonesia’s largest telecommunications providers. She then ventured into consulting and training, and had advised and/or trained various MNCs in leadership and HR-focused areas of employee development.
Dr Arquisola has published in many Scopus-indexed journals and has served on the editorial boards of highly-reputable international journals. Her research interests are in leadership, academic leadership and governance, human resource management, career management, work-life balance, organizational development, training and development, and gender studies.
Dr Arquisola is currently a member of the Management Society of Indonesian Lecturers as well as the Society for Human Resource Management in the USA.
When not teaching, Dr Arquisola is passionate about anthropology and archaeology and loves to read about new discoveries, scour museums and archaeological sites when traveling abroad. She likes reading, cooking, and playing Scrabble in her spare time.

Dr Pranakusuma Sudhana has over 20 years of experience across higher education, research, and professional practice. He has held leadership roles at various institutions in Indonesia, successfully guiding them to achieve top national accreditations and academic excellence. His earlier career included engineering and managerial positions, which have strengthened his expertise in project management, leadership, and international collaboration.
Dr Sudhana has taught both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in marketing, managerial economics, and operations management. As a researcher, he has published in Scopus and WoS-indexed journals and proceedings, focusing on higher education management, brand awareness, and transnational education. He currently serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Applied Research in Higher Education and the Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics. Dr Sudhana remains actively engaged in research, teaching, and academic leadership to enhance the quality of higher education in Indonesia.

Dr Brahmana is a Lecturer in Finance and Business Analytics at Deakin University Lancaster University Indonesia. With over 11 years of teaching experience across the UK, Bahrain, and Malaysia and, he brings a wealth of international insight and a passion for accessible, engaging education. His expertise is backed by his recognition as a UK Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a Certified Fintech Professional (ACCA), and a Certified Management & Business Educator (UK CABS), affirming both his subject mastery and pedagogical excellence. Previously, he served as a Lecturer in Finance at Coventry University.
Outside the classroom, Dr Brahmana enjoys playing badminton, spends his free time hiking, and a fan of dystopian and surrealist literature, inspired by authors like George Orwell, Seno Gumira Ajidarma, and Agus Noor. In his teaching, Rayenda often draws on Aesop’s fables and traditional folklore as analogies to simplify complex concepts, helping students grasp ideas more intuitively.
Dr Brahmana contributes to World Ocean Assessment (WOA) as a member of the United Nations Pool of Experts for the Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea. He also serves on the editorial boards of several international journals. In 2024, he was awarded Best Writer in Economics by The Conversation Indonesia.

Dr Bennett is a Lecturer in Computer Science and Cyber Security at Deakin University Lancaster University Indonesia. His primary research areas are Software Engineering and Cyber Security, with a particular focus on how developers detect and repair security vulnerabilities. Dr Bennett has five years of experience teaching core software engineering concepts covering software design and testing.
In his spare time, Dr Bennett enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and riding his motorcycle. Lancaster is situated in between three national parks which offer plenty of recreational opportunities. Dr Bennett also likes to travel and enjoys learning about the local architecture, history and art.

Dr Farah Farizi obtained her PhD from Deakin University, Australia. She also holds a Bachelor of Information Technology (Honours) and a Bachelor of Games Development and Design from Deakin University, where she graduated with First Class Honours and Distinction.
Dr Farizi has over five years of teaching experience in Australian higher education and has previously held academic roles such as Associate Lecturer and Teaching Fellow. Throughout her academic journey, she has been recognised with several awards, including the Deakin University Postgraduate Research Scholarship, the Excellent Oral Presentation Award at the BDIOT/VRIP Conference, and the Pham Family Honours Award for outstanding academic performance.
Outside of academia, Dr Farizi enjoys training in martial arts, playing video games, and exploring Bandung’s cafe scene. In her teaching, she often incorporates current technological trends to help students connect their learning to real-world applications. Her research contributes to the field of human–computer interaction. She has been involved in several projects investigating the use of virtual and augmented reality technologies across diverse areas, including sport, healthcare, behaviour modelling, and education and training. Her research publications can be found through the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the world’s largest educational and scientific computing society.
