Deakin University Lancaster University Indonesia is proud to offer a range of generous scholarships for your foundation and undergraduate studies. All scholarships listed are only available for Indonesian and international students commencing in September 2026.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the bursary, applicants must:

  • Be a fee-paying domestic or international student.
  • Be enrolling as a commencing student in the September 2026 intake.
  • Recipients must have paid the non-refundable tuition fee deposit of IDR 10,000,000 at the time of returning this form.
  • Meet all additional terms and conditions outlined below.

Terms and Conditions

  1. If a student does not continue their studies at Deakin University Lancaster University Indonesia after the first trimester, the bursary will be automatically cancelled.
  2. Failure to make payment for the second study period by the due date will result in cancellation of the bursary.
  3. The bursary is applicable only to the first course of study as stated in the Letter of Offer.
  4. This bursary can be combined with other eligible scholarships.
  5. The bursary is non-transferable and non-refundable.
  6. The bursary will be applied in the second trimester of study.

We are pleased to offer 50% scholarships for students commencing the Foundation Program in September 2026.

Deposit: IDR 10,000,000 (or AUD 1,000), non-refundable

Terms & conditions:

  1. Available to both domestic and international students who meet the minimum both academic and English requirements for the Foundation Program.
  2. Not applicable to family members or friends of students receiving this scholarship.
  3. A 50% scholarship will be applied for the first year of the Foundation Program.
  4. Upon progression to the first year of an undergraduate program, students remain eligible for a 50% scholarship.
  5. For the second year of undergraduate study, students are eligible for a 20% scholarship.
  6. For the third year of undergraduate study, standard tuition fees apply.

DLI Merit Scholarships

As part of its commitment to academic excellence, DLI offers the Merit Scholarship to recognise outstanding student achievement. This award is open to eligible undergraduate applicants for the September 2026 intake.

The DLI Merit Scholarship is available to high-achieving students commencing an Undergraduate Program in September 2026.
It is valid for the first year of study only and awarded based on academic merit and holistic assessment. 

Scholarship Categories 

  • 60% Excellence Scholarship 
  • 100% Rector Scholarship 

Both categories: 

  • Require academic performance above standard minimum entry requirements 
  • Include a mandatory interview with the DLI Rector and COO 
  • Awarded based on academic excellence, holistic profile, and interview outcome 

 

Academic Requirements 

Indonesian National Curriculum (SMA 3) 

  • Minimum 9.0 across four academic subjects 
  • Mathematics: minimum 8.0 

International Baccalaureate (IB) 

  • Business Programs: minimum 32 points (6 subjects) 
  • Computer Science Programs: minimum 30 points (6 subjects) 

A-Level & GCSE 

  • A-Level: minimum 10 points across three academic subjects 
  • GCSE: 
  • Mathematics: Grade B or 6 (Grade 5 considered case-by-case) 
  • English Language: Grade C or 4 

English Language Requirements 

Applicants must meet one of the following: 

  • IELTS Academic: Overall 6.5 (no band less than 5.5) 
  • PTE Academic: Overall, 58 (no skill less than 42) 
  • TOEFL iBT / Home Edition: Overall 87 (Listening 17, Reading 18, Speaking 17, Writing 20) 

Alternative Assessment Option (Preliminary / Predicted Results) 

DLI may consider preliminary or predicted results: 

  • Predicted scores must be 2–3 points higher than the stated requirements 
  • Offers based on predicted results are conditional 
  • Final confirmation depends on final academic results 

Personal Statement 

Submit a 300–500-word personal statement outlining: 

  • Academic goals and aspirations 
  • Leadership experience (if any) 
  • How the scholarship will support your studies at DLI 

Achievements & Activities (if applicable) 

Include evidence of: 

  • Academic or non-academic achievements 
  • Competitions, leadership roles, community service, or volunteering 
  • Commitment to personal development and positive impact 

Application Process 

  • Receive a DLI conditional offer 
  • Complete the DLI Scholarship Application Form 
  • Submit all required documents 
  • Shortlisted candidates attend an interview with the DLI Rector and COO 

Application Deadlines 

  • Priority Application Deadline: 31 May 2026 (early submission recommended) 
  • SMA 3 (Ijazah holders) Final Deadline: 31 July 2026 
  • A-Level & IB Final Deadline: 31 August 2026 

Applications are assessed on a rolling basis. Early submission is strongly encouraged as scholarship places are limited. 

Terms & Conditions 

  • Available to domestic and international students who meet entry requirements 
  • Scholarship applies to the first year of study only 
  • Deposit: IDR 10,000,000 (or AUD 1,000), non-refundable 
  • Not transferable or combinable with other offers unless stated 
  • Year 2 scholarship: 20% eligible if Merit Scholarship recipients do not meet progression requirements 
  • Year 3: standard tuition fees apply 

The DLI Progression Scholarship recognises students who maintain strong academic performance after receiving a DLI Merit Scholarship in Year 1. 

It is not a standalone scholarship — only Merit Scholarship recipients are eligible. 

Scholarship Value & Continuation 

  • Students awarded 60% Merit Scholarship in Year 1 may receive 60% Progression Scholarship in Year 2 & 3, if requirements are met 
  • Students awarded 100% Rector Scholarship in Year 1 may receive 100% Progression Scholarship in Year 2 & 3, if requirements are met 
  • Only one (1) student will receive the 100% Rector Scholarship  
  • Scholarship value matches the original Merit Scholarship; upgrades are not permitted 

Academic Requirements 

To maintain the Progression Scholarship, students must: 

  • Achieve a minimum WAM of 70% 
  • Have no failed units in the relevant academic year 

Student Engagement (Preferred) 

Active participation is encouraged, including: 

  • Extracurricular activities 
  • Academic or non-academic competitions 
  • Community service or volunteering 
  • Leadership roles or notable achievements 

Scholarship Distribution 

  • Applied on a prorated basis per trimester 

Progression & Continuation Rules 

  • Year 2: if requirements not met → eligible for 20% scholarship only 
  • Year 3: if requirements not met → standard tuition fees apply 

General Conditions 

  • Decisions are at the sole discretion of DLI 
  • DLI may amend, suspend, or withdraw scholarships at any time 
  • Scholarship continuation is conditional on meeting all academic and progression requirements
